Being a parent is hard. And even the journey of becoming a parent can present challenges. That’s why Buckner is here to help. Whether you are pregnant, parenting a child under the age of 3, or if you have experienced the death of a child within 90 days, the Thriving Texas Families program may be for you.
The Thriving Texas Families program is through the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and promotes family and child development, healthy pregnancy, and childbirth and family strengthening through the Buckner LifeDesign Maternity Counseling program and the Buckner Family Hope Center® locations.
Child-centered and family-focused, Family Hope Centers are a place where families experiencing challenges can go to find hope, support and empowerment in their community to reach their fullest God-given potential.
Buckner offers family coaching at no cost to help you define your goals and create a roadmap for your family’s success. The Thriving Texas Families program provides support with financial management, job and parenting skills, physical and mental health, or other family needs. The LifeDesign Maternity Counseling program provides mental health counseling and support services to expectant parents facing stress due to an unintended pregnancy or other crisis during their pregnancy. Our experienced licensed therapists are available at no cost to help you sort through your feelings and create a parenting or an open adoption plan. Using evidence-based, ethical practices, we help women from diverse backgrounds with a variety of concerns.
Through the Thriving Texas Families program, you will work one-on-one with a counselor toward personalized goals. We can help you explore options, identify specific goals for your life, and help you make informed decisions about your future and the future of your child. Together, we can create a practical plan that empowers you to accomplish your goals.
